I am life long outdoorsman dedicated to conservation.

 

I have over 35 years of experience chasing Striped Bass from both boats and the Surf. I cut my teeth and paid my dues fishing along side some the best and well known surf men. I gave up Boat fishing over 5 years ago, dedicating my fishing to surf casting exclusively.

 

If your idea of pursuing Stripers includes a sand spike and a chunk of bait, with a beer in your hand, find someone else to take you out. If you want an experience that resembles hunting with rod and reel, custom plugs or Eels, in situations bordering on the insane, then I’m your man.

 

I can and will tailor trips to the physical abilities of my clients, with locations both public and privately accessible. I can provide the necessary equipment, including custom rods I build and high quality spinning reels. The more equipment you can provide will reduce your cost, for a more affordable trip.

 

Recommended and necessary gear includes, waders, wader belt, Korkers or other spiked footwear, and rain top or dry top. A surf rod of 10 feet with a 2 to 5 Ounce action is recommended.

 

On a limited basis, I also build custom rods. (be sure to check out the plug and rod building pages) I do not shortcut on materials, as quality and performance are my objectives. The cost of the materials determines the final pricing of my high performance rods. Casting distance, with full attention to fishability are important features of any custom rod. When I accept your order, upon completion, you may also opt to book a half price guided fishing trip to test out the rod. You will also receive 3 of my custom made Striped Bass plugs.
